I help publications and brands build loyal readership and meaningful engagement through creative, thoughtful storytelling.
As a journalist, I have written for The Globe and Mail, Canadian Business, Today’s Parent, Refinery29, Vice, Air Canada enRoute, and House & Home. I have also worked Mastercard, University Health Network, Toronto Maple Leafs, Shopify, and Otto’s Food Group to create content and grow their audiences.
Currently, I ideate, pitch, assign, and execute various branded content projects as a Content Strategist at Globe Content Studio, the content marketing arm of The Globe and Mail. I am also the editor and lead writer for The ‘90s Parent, a weekly newsletter geared towards millennial parents nostalgic for “the good old days.”
Prior to this, I was the Audience Growth Editor for The Globe’s Report on Business section, where I wrote articles and produced social media content and newsletters related to business, investing and personal finance to engage new readership. I created an award-winning personal finance newsletter course, MoneySmart Bootcamp, and cofounded The Globe’s TikTok channel.
I have also held staff position in several other newsrooms. I oversaw social media and newsletter strategy as the Audience Engagement Editor at Xtra Magazine, and turned website analytics into meaningful action for our newsroom. As the Life & Social Media Editor at NOW Magazine, I wrote stories about community and culture, with a particular interest in millennials, race, gender, mental health and electronic music. And while at Vancouver’s Georgia Straight, my weekly cooking column and food writing was recognized with a scholarship from Les Dames d'Escoffier.
For years, I sat on the juries of the Polaris Music Prize (2021 grand jury) and the JUNO Awards. And in 2019 to 2020, I hosted and produced the biweekly radio show Early Bird Special on ISO Radio.
I was a guest on CBC Music’s Polaris Prize 2021 broadcast, and I have been a panelist and moderator at events such as the Inside Out Film Festival, and have spoken on CBC Radio, Serious Betty, We Really Like Her and the Royal Canadian Movie Podcast.
