With a background in journalism, social media, search engine optimization, and analytics, I help media brands and companies build loyal readership through creative, thoughtful storytelling.

I’ve written for some of Canada’s leading publications such as Canadian Business, Today’s Parent, Cottage Life, Refinery29, Vice, Air Canada enRoute, House & Home, Food Network Canada and NUVO. I have also worked with brands such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Shopify, and Otto’s Food Group to create content and grow their audiences.

Most recently, I was the Audience Editor for the Report on Business section at the Globe & Mail. In that role, I wrote articles and produced social media content and newsletters related to business, investing and personal finance topics to grow and engage new readership. I created an award-winning five-part personal finance newsletter course, MoneySmart Bootcamp, and helped launch the Globe’s TikTok channel.

Previously, I was the Audience Engagement Editor at Xtra Magazine, where I oversaw social media and newsletter strategy, helped launch the Xtra Community commenting platform, and turned website analytics into meaningful action for our newsroom.

For years, I sat on the juries of the Polaris Music Prize (2021 grand jury) and the JUNO Awards. And in 2019 to 2020, I hosted and produced the biweekly radio show Early Bird Special on ISO Radio.

I wrote stories about community and culture, with a particular interest in millennials, race, gender, mental health and electronic music as the Life & Social Media Editor at NOW Magazine. And while at Vancouver’s Georgia Straight, my weekly cooking column and food writing was recognized with a scholarship from Les Dames d'Escoffier.

I was a guest on CBC Music’s Polaris Prize 2021 broadcast, and I have been a panelist and moderator at events such as the Inside Out Film Festival, and have spoken on CBC Radio, Serious Betty, We Really Like Her and the Royal Canadian Movie Podcast.
